It Gets Better Lounge

During fashion week, I got the privilege to go to the It Gets Better Lounge at the Empire Hotel. Wonderful event sponsored by Rue La La, Elle magazine, and the Sundance Channel. It Gets Better is an anti-bullying campaign to help bring attention to discrimination, harassment, and mistreatment of our youth. In short, it provides the message of tolerance and that life does "get better". Countless celebs have been filming psa's in support; even yours truly (me) lol. Throughout the suites of the Empire there were many different stations supplied for all guest to enjoy themselves. Including an oxygen bar, makeup counters, braid bar, eyebrow shaping and hand/neck  massage area. While trying out the festivities, I ran into Carson Kressley, Jackie Collins & Joe Zee. Style, fashion, and of course gift bags are all encompassed by events during fashion week, but this one was more...it had a purpose and was meaningful. :)
