I'm all about having a good time, pair that with delicious food and good company...I'm set! Last week I went to Vapiano, just south of Union Square. I ran into so many great people, most I knew and met some intriguing new ones. I took up shop next to the food tables, lol and sampled everything. I can honestly say it was all quite tasty, which is hard because I'm a picky eater. Seriously, I don't like citrus (orange, lemon or lime), no melons, milk, or even lettuce. I tip my fake hat to the chefs :) There were fancy cheeses (I'm a sucker for brie), pre-pitted olives (no awkward moment of where to put the pits), smooth tapenades (basil & roasted red pepper), fresh strawberries, rich chocolate mousses along with the enticing appetizers that were delivered on trays. I was particularly a fan of the mini truffle pizza...mmmm so good! I've been to Vapiano once before with a friend for dinner. They had so many options, it was hard to choose. We split an appetizer and of course I settled on a specialty pizza...while already planning to come again and try some of the other dishes on my desired list. Going to this tasting was fantastic, more scrumptious apps, partnered with silky wines and networking. Can't think of anything better to do on a rainy humpday (Wednesday).
