I kicked off this season's fashion week was Charles Youssef. The collection was perfect ladies that want an ensemble to seamlessly go from work to a night out. I liked that he included pieces with yellow. Who says that after summer your clothes have to been colorless anyway. The aptly named, Tectonic line is his second seasonal collection. Youssef was inspired by themes of technicolor and diverse patterns, hints why he chose the name Tectonic. The collection features zig zag appliqués, smooth matte silk and polished metal to recreate geometric structures and cracks inspired by the earth’s plate tectonics. Youssef’s signature triangular and folded details reemerge in new silhouettes this season. The Fall/Winter 2015 presentation was styled by Kate Foley, you can see her in the above image working her magic on the models.
More about the collection:
Key collection pieces include Italian cashmere coats, crisp cotton shirting and wool skirts. The sartorial tone of the collection breaks into softer eveningwear, introducing dresses with silk organza layers over an opaque wool underlay. Graphic accents of blue, red and yellow jewel tones, combined with black and navy present imagery of New York at night. The Charles Youssef collection is designed and produced in New York City and available at Barneys New York.
